Another Weeping Woman is a series of carefully staged self-portraits imbued with a strong cinematographic quality. Situated at the intersection of performative and vernacular photography, the project employs a voyeuristic and, at times, unsolicited gaze to reveal the tensions surrounding femininity and the complexities of gender roles and expectations.

The series examines societal perceptions of women by portraying a recurring, idealized female character within colorful scenes that often evoke the atmosphere of a movie set. Through the use of lighting and costumes, the project reinforces a persistent cinematic illusion, creating an ongoing performance where gestures are familiar, predictable, and reminiscent of those seen in film. The carefully chosen locations—motel rooms, parking lots, and other liminal spaces with a Lynchian quality—serve as "non-places" that emphasize the loneliness and alienation inherent in urban existence.

The subjects within Another Weeping Woman are constructs shaped by the artist’s interrogation of contemporary culture’s role in defining femininity as a fixed concept. These figures navigate their environments with a mixture of composure and unpredictability, appearing as shadows or fleeting reflections, and often confronting the viewer’s gaze rather than evading it.
